Detailed Roof Condition Survey & Report

Our roof survey service provides a detailed visual inspection of the main accessible roof elements to help identify visible defects, maintenance concerns and likely repair requirements.

This service is suitable for homeowners, buyers, landlords and property professionals who require a professional roof condition assessment before repair works, property purchase or planned maintenance.

Each survey includes photographic findings, condition observations, practical recommendations and priority repair guidance based on the visible condition of the roof at the time of inspection. Roof inspections may include ground-level, ladder-access or photographic assessment methods depending on site accessibility and safety conditions.

Surveys are carried out by an experienced building professional with an NVQ Level 3 qualification. Surveys are carried out using a practical contractor-led approach based on visible site conditions at the time of inspection. Written reports are typically provided within 2–5 working days following inspection.

Inspection Areas May Include:

  • Roof covering assessment
  • Ridge and verge inspection
  • Chimney condition checks
  • Leadwork inspection
  • Gutter and downpipe assessment
  • Internal roof inspection (where accessible)

  • General maintenance advice
  • Written quotation for recommended works where suitable

Important Information

This is a visual roof condition survey based on accessible areas at the time of inspection. It is not a structural engineer’s report or RICS survey.

Roof surveys are visual inspections carried out from accessible areas only. Concealed defects, hidden structural issues or inaccessible areas may require further investigation. No invasive opening-up works are carried out during standard inspections unless agreed separately.

Recommendations are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection.

Our reports are designed to provide practical, straightforward guidance to help clients make informed decisions before repair works or property purchase.

Detailed Roof Condition Survey & Report – Larger / Complex Properties

Our larger and more detailed roof surveys provide a more extensive visual inspection and reporting process for properties requiring additional assessment, access considerations or more detailed defect investigation.

This service is suitable for larger, complex, traditional and older properties where a standard roof inspection may not provide sufficient detail before repair works, property purchase or planned maintenance.

Each survey includes photographic findings, condition observations, practical recommendations and priority repair guidance based on the visible condition of the roof at the time of inspection.
